Honouring the best of the best: multi-award-winners, lifetime achievers, and celebrated heroes of Queensland’s theatre industry.

The Matilda Awards have taken on many structures since its first year of operation in 1988. Beginning with an annual total of five Gold Awards awarded across the entire industry, the Matilda Awards now recognise excellence in more than a dozen individual categories, and award a single prestigious Gold Award every year.

The Matilda Awards honour the following individuals and groups in our prestigious Hall of Fame:

Winners of any Lifetime Achievement award since 1988
Winners of three Gold Matildas between 1988 and 2014
Winners of one Gold Matilda from 2015 onwards
